Stacking the Shelves / Showcase sunday #9

7 Apr 2013
Showcase Sunday is hosted by Vicky @Books, Biscuits, and Tea and Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga's Reviews and they both give bloggers the opportunity to share the books they have received in the past week.

I haven't recieved many books this week as i am currently preparing for my university exams so don't have much time for reading. This is also why i haven't been posting many reviews lately but the amount will start to increase as of now :) Here is what i recieved this week.

For review

Requiem For Blood

This is a paranormal YA that has me intriugued. It has vampire-like supernatural creatures and it sounds like it has the potential to be unique and memorable. I am part of the blog tour for this in May so watch out for my review then.

Waiting on Forever

A New Adult contemporary romance that sounds very good. Thank you to the author and ATOMR tours for the review copy.

Holding On

I love Emma Hart's books. In fact i reviewed her most recent novel The Love Game which has become an amazon bestseller only yesterday. This is a novella set in the world of Never Forget which i read and reviewed also not too long ago. I can't wait to see more of the characters. You can check out my review of the first book here.

Netgalley

Ink

I have heard great things about Ink and i have been interested in it for a while so when i saw it on netgalley i had to request it. It is a paranormal novel set in Japan and i have never read anything like it before.

Amazon Freebies

Unexpected

A New Adult contemporary novel set in the aftermath of 9/11. I thing it sounds very interesting and i have heard great things about the author. You can win a $25 Amazon gift card to celebrate the release of this novel here.

Talented

This has been on my wishlist for a while and i noticed this week that it is now free on Amazon. About a teen assassin who has the ability to read and influence peoples minds. The main character seems pretty kick-ass.

Won

Freak of Nature

I have been wanting to read this for ages so i am thrilled to have won a copy. This is a YA Sci/Fi novel about a girl who is half robot.

So what do you think of these books? Are there any you have read or want to read? Feel free to link to your own Stacking the Shelves posts in the comments.
