Real by Katy Evans
Synopsis
A fallen boxer.
A woman with a broken dream.
A competition…
He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…
Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.
He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .
But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.
I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?
Mature New Adult/Adult Contemporary Romance - recommended for ages 18 and up.

Playlist for Real
Laura, thanks so
much for having me over for a visit, and thanks everyone for stopping by. I’d
love to talk to you guys about music! After weeks, hiding in the writing cave
writing MINE, I’ve been listening to amazing songs (which I can’t wait to share
with you) along with Brooke and Remington.
You know music
plays a crucial part in REAL and,
likewise, it will play a part in the sequel, MINE. For those of you who have
not read REAL or would like a refresher, this is the playlist:
This is such a significant song, I even went to lengths to
acquire the license of being able to quote some of the lyrics in REAL.
The moment I listened to this song, Brooke jumped in my head and
wanted it. She has great taste in songs, I have to say. I love the upbeat tone
and it captures falling in love so perfectly!
Remington and Brooke are athletes and very physical beings, and
this song captures their sexual awareness of each other perfectly.
This is a list of other songs I heard while writing, many of
which they made me listen to!
High on You Survivor (I always played this song when I worked on their meeting
scene!)
Love Song Sara Bareilles
In Your Eyes Peter Gabriel
Come Away With Me by Nora Jones
All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To
You by Heart
Anyway You Want It by Journey
I Love You Like A Love Song by
Selena Gomez
My Life Would Suck Without You by
Kelly Clarkson
Flaws and All by Beyonce
The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes
That’s When I Knew by Alicia Keys
I personally
love music. It connects us to emotions, memories, people we love, even those we
hate. The playlist for MINE isn’t yet defined, but as soon as I know all their
favorite songs for sure, I will be sure to share it! In the meantime, do you
guys have a favorite song? If you don’t, then do you have a favorite song you
would like to share with Brooke and Remington?

I thought of the song Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine and also Broken by Seether and Amy Lee. I loved every song that Remy and Brooke played for each other, they were perfect :)
